Voting Share (Equity Share)


Voting Shares represent equity and ownership in your Credit Union. These funds are yours, and are refundable upon the closure of your account.

Credit Union members are both member and shareholder. As a member, you receive the financial services you need and as a shareholder you enjoy local control of your own financial institution via a democratic process of electing board members and/or running for the board or committees. In addition, you belong to an organization that promotes the local, social and economic wellbeing of the community and distributes wealth by way of sponsorships or donations, as well as patronage rebates and/or re-investment into the credit union whenever possible.

Open and Voluntary Ownership

Open to any resident, organization, or corporation of Canada.

$25.00 (5 Shares) maintained in Share account.

All members are equal in share requirement.

Shares are refundable upon closure of membership account.

Shares are subject to dividends which may be declared based on credit union earnings, as decided by Board of Directors.

Democratic Control

One member, one vote.
