The successful candidate will have a minimum of a High School diploma, plus at least one year completed in Post Secondary Buisness Program. A combination of education and experience may be considered. The incumbant will also have/be:

• very comfortable with technology and adapts easily to new digital processes, products & services
• demonstrated critical thinking, problem solving skills, initiative, and ability to work independently

The Job

The Financial Services Representative Summer Student:

• provides financial products and services to members
• processes financial transactions accurately and maintains a balanced cash drawer

Compensation

Competitive wage for full-time work from May to August.

The Person

The successful candidate will have a minimum of a High School diploma, a diploma/certificate from a Post-Secondary Business Program, plus up to one year’s related experience and/or training. A combination of education and experience may be considered. 

The incumbent will also have/be:

• superior customer service skills
• very comfortable with technology and adapts easily to new digital processes, products & services
• an outgoing and self-motivated nature, team player, with a strong work ethic
• demonstrated critical thinking, problem solving skills, initiative, and ability to work independently
• organized with proven history of accuracy and high attention to detail (data entry, paperwork, cash balancing etc…)

The Job

The Financial Services Representative:

• proactively provides financial advice to members (clients)
• provides members with a variety of financial services with a high level of professionalism and accuracy
• maintains current knowledge of all products & services
• achieves sales goals through service excellence, product knowledge, and effective member relationship management
• processes and balances various financial transactions and cash drawer

To join our team of financial services professionals, we are currently accepting applications for a full-time Administration Support Representative (ASR) to provide exceptional service to our branch staff as they serve our members. The position is based in the Administration Office in Yarmouth; however, all staff must be open to travel and/or reassignment to other branches as required by changing business conditions within the organization.

The Person

The ideal candidate will be/have:

• a high comfort level working with and learning to effectively use new banking technology, various software platforms and applications including SharePoint, OneDrive, and the Microsoft Office 365 full suite of products
• superior customer service and communication skills
• a team player, who works well in a team environment but can resolve problems independently
• a multitasker who is organized, accurate and shows a high level of attention to detail
• flexible and adaptable to change with strong time-management skills
• Grade XII diploma plus a one to two-year business program (community college/university level). One to three years’ experience and/or training in a related field - an equivalent combination of education/experience may be considered.

The Job

Reporting to the Manager of Operations, the ASR provides an elevated level of professional service and support to credit union staff.
The ASR optimizes the use of technology to perform duties such as:

• processing/balancing various financial transactions, including General Ledger
• daily clearing | ATM balancing | accounts payable using automated workflows
• investigating and resolving problems/discrepancies in accordance with established procedures and regulatory requirements
• assisting in the development and ongoing maintenance of current and new products, services, and procedures
• completing various reports including audit, risk management, etc.
