Certified Cheques

Designed for members who require verification of funds when making purchases, payments or sending funds via mail.

A certified cheque is one issued by a Coastal Financial Credit Union member or non-member, where the funds are guaranteed to the payee by the branch on which the cheque is drawn. Signatures and funds are verified, funds (if available) are withdrawn from the account and a "certified" stamp is placed on the face of the cheque. A member or non-member may request that a cheque written on a Coastal Financial Credit Union account be certified.
